The educational journey of the institution began with the establishment of Jijamata Vidya Mandir, a school that became well known in the Bhandup area for providing affordable and disciplined education to local families. The institution was founded back in the early 1972.
Located in Sahyadri Nagar, Quarry Road, Bhandup (West), Mumbai, the school gradually earned the trust of generations of parents due to its strong academic foundation, experienced teaching staff, and emphasis on cultural and moral values. The school initially focused primarily on Marathi-medium education and played an important role in educating students from the surrounding communities.

As education evolved and the demand for English-medium schooling increased, the management expanded its vision by introducing RJSPM Public School under the Trust of Rajmata Jijau Shikshan Prasarak Mandal. The new English-medium institution was started to provide modern education while still preserving the traditional values and disciplined environment for which the original institution was known. The school combines academic learning with co-curricular activities, personality development, and value-based education to prepare students for future challenges.
The institution further expanded its educational offerings by establishing JVM Junior College. Available information indicates that JVM Junior College of Commerce with IT was started around 2007 to provide higher secondary education opportunities for students aspiring to pursue careers in commerce and related fields
Today, RJSPM continues to serve the educational needs of students from Pre-Primary to Junior College level. The institution focuses not only on academics but also on character building, discipline, leadership, cultural awareness, and overall personality development. Through decades of educational service, the trust has contributed significantly to shaping the future of thousands of students in Mumbai.
